The 2007 Mid-South Stocker Conference is scheduled for February 13-14 at Cave City, Kentucky Convention Center.

The theme for the conference is “Managing for Change.” The beef cattle industry is experiencing rapid changes that impacts the profitability of stocker producers. Topics to be discussed include managing stress and nutrition of stocker cattle, disease of stocker cattle, managing risk and marketing. This is the second annual Mid-South Stocker Conference. It is sponsored by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service and the University of Tennessee Extension. Numerous cattle related businesses are also sponsors.

More than 200 producers from 9 states participated in the 2006 Conference and up to 350 are anticipated to attend the 2007 event.
